Waiting for my ship to come in

We have a large shipment coming on a boat. It should take about 6 weeks... 6 weeks from when we tell them. Since we haven't found a place to live yet, there's not point in have them start to ship. So.... I'm making do with what I have, my beads, some inspiration, and some crochet learning. I'm sooo looking forward to when it all arrives...sewing machine, fabrics, paints, papers, yarn.... It'll be grand. Then I can get back to these.

and these.

and make a mess like this:

Toilet paper with puppies on it.

Purple trash bags.

This stuff... I believe it is butter with pieces of olive in it, but who knows... it tastes good!

Ireland in Israel

We went to an Irish pub for a sunset beer last night. ha!

It was quite an experience. I've been catching up on emails all morning, amazing how quickly time can go by when you're online... and I haven't even read my gossip websites yet!

What A Beach day!

No offense to the east coasters or the west coasters, or especially the Woods Holers, but I just had the BEST beach day ever...(tempting for anyone who wants to visit...) we walked 2 minutes to the beach, and it was SO crowded. Our relocation guy had told us how there are miles of beach, but Israelis like to cluster together, but this beach was PACKED!

and SO fun! we both brought books, but never picked them up. It was too entertaining to people watch.

They are really into beach sports; volleyball, frisbee, jet-sking, and this paddle ball game that everyone played. That probably explains why everyone looks great in bathing suits. So great, that for women, the, uh, thong is in. Yeah, I stayed under my umbrella, spied on people, and made great plans in my head to work out intensely for the next few weeks. but, no.. no thong for me, thank you very much, but a more fit body would be fantasical. Anyway, it was a great day, and we still have a walk by the water, dinner and movie watching tonight. I think I just may love it here.... tempt.. tempt... come visit!!

and yes, those are green jellies that i'm wearing.. great for the hot sand, and the water. yay!

Some Wedding Lovelies

These are 2 ideas I think are stunning from Martha Stewart.
Also some fantastical flower arrangements from an issue last year...

Too many to choose....

Romans and Ruins

Today we somehow found our way around the city, discovered a huge grocery store ( that had a good sized non-meat section for those who don't eat meat but will eat turkey sandwiches...ahem) and drove up to Ceasarea.

This is a town on the water with many Roman Ruins. Isn't that interesting? It was really nice there. Now we are back and would like to go for a swim in the sea, we'll see if we can make it before it gets too late. I haven't been in yet!
