Some lovely ones available from Zappos. I especially love the crystal ball Vivienne Westwood ones... My trip to the east coast was A.MAZ.ING. The bachelorette party on Cape Cod could not have been better. Wonderful friends, relaxing, massages, manicures, and lots and lots and lots of laughing. Which is always good for you. It was also so marvelous to be home in CT for a couple of days. I love being at home and sleep in my old bedroom. And of course as I spoke about before... shop my parents house... I mostly just take things that were mine before I moved out and forgot about. But there are always those new "Oh Sheila... is this a new painting...hmmm maybe it would look better in my house" conversations.... I have some photos from the trip but at the moment can't find my blasted cord thingy that goes from my camera to computer...Must find soon...It probably hidden under all of the 'new' things I brought home much to Erik's frustration. oops.

Happy Friday!!!

I'm in CT at my parents house ready ready to drive up to the Cape for the weekend. I love coming home. And what a journey I had.... I was stuck in Denver for 6 hours. At the airport I bought the new Ian McEwan book, Solar and am 3/4 done, I also managed to eat my weight in asian cracker snacks. So I suppose the trip wasn't too bad... This afternoon we're off to New Haven to see Sheila's new show at her gallery. These are some strands she'd been working on...and guess who gets to take some back to California...

I'm going to continue "shopping" through my parents house....

Fascinate Me!

My family and I have a few weddings coming up soon (and the bachelorette party of one is this weekend and I fly home tomorrow, Hurray for me!) So something that Sheila (my mum) is worrying about is what to put on her noggin. She and I have a few fascinators that we bought last time we were in London but there are great ones from Accessorize. If only Accessorize were here.. ah well... On to more bachelorette fun, I'm currently making mix cds... lovely lovely... will discuss more about after the surprise.... type of music one must listen to while sipping espresso in a full skirt.....love.

Hello, I love you...
I love love love these dresses from Anthropologie. Fun fresh colors and prints. I'm so incredibly ready for spring and summer. More color, more brights, more sitting in the sun with a huge straw hat and a cold glass of wine and tons of giggles. Please. Thanks.

And Speaking of Spring...

We turtally snarfed our train ride glass of wine a couple of weeks ago when we saw an ad in a magazine for Liberty at Target. I practically squealed out loud much to the annoyance of my fellow passengers. Of course I popped in last night to see what I could find.

However, it was one of those moments where I was on my way home from work and only wanted to be at home, and was wearing uncomfortable shoes that made me walk funny so as not to hurt a blister, and this really affected my shopping mood. Also, I find that sometimes I'll buy something because I love the pattern, but when I get home I realize that I don't need 3 more mixing bowls, a cookie jar and even more tumblers... so I shall go back this weekend when I am ready. If everything has gone, I will take that chance. I will say, however, that everything I did see was marvelous and loverly.

(unfortunately from what I've seen, I think the bikes are all sold out. boo)
Is it Here??

The past few days have been A-mazing. It really feels like the warm weather is upon us! I think that perhaps I've been in a bit of a funk this new year...I'm not sure why, or even realized I was, until the rains stopped, we had lighter days, and I could put away my boots. (no offense to the boots, of course-they know they are all well loved). But I suddenly feel lighter, and happier, and a little more clear headed. Which is incredibly important for me, as my head is fuzzy enough with all of the silly things I think about all the time. Happy Almost Spring!

Big and Small

I had the most PERFECT birthday weekend. About 12 of us rented a house up by Russian River and went to the Russian River Barrel Tasting event. It was soo much fun; photos to come soon. But even better were the amazing gifts I got, including, 2 pairs of shoes (I married the right guy!) an adorable clutch, a lovely vintage square handbag, and a HUGE embroidered bag from Anthropologie. Erik bought it for me, and I can't find a photo of it online, so I'll have to take a photo. For now, I'll leave you with these two lovelies also from there...let's hope spring hurries up so we can start wearing all of the amazing spring shoes out there now...hurry. please.

Tiny Owls

I fell off the planet a bit there...I've been busy at work, had parents visiting, and on top of it all, caught a nasty cold. No excuse... This friday is my birthday. Which basically gives me an excuse to buy tiny owl purses... on sale at Anthropologie. Love.

One Year Ago...

Can you believe it... one year since we left Israel and moved back to the US. It makes me sad that that as time goes by, my life there moves further and further away from me. However, our friends that we made will be visiting us in September. Oh Hurray.
I think that I sometimes have to look at photos to remind me that we were actually there. I pretty much picked up here in the US where I left off. I'm back working at the same place (although I love it now), we're back in the bay area (although a weee bit further giving me a longer commute. Bright side! Bright side! I can read all of my books and magazines) We are reconnected with our wonderful family of friends that we have here. And actually, I think, that being away from people makes you realize how lucky you are to have them. We have had some of my most favorite times with them since we've moved back. Erik and I have decided that we will do another international experience within the next 5 years, which will be perfect. But, for now, I am completely happy exactly where I am.

The grottos we went to near the border of Lebanon for my birthday in 2008.

Our trip to the dead sea. So. Amazing.

Some friends we met along the way, Gertrude and Lotte.

Erik's Israeli boss made me kiss a snake at Purim... I thought it was fake. Nope... it was real. Awesome...first base with a boa. sweeet.
