Weekends here are Friday and Saturday. So technically the weekend is about to start! It's going to take me some time to get my head around this one. I absolutely hated Sundays... does that mean I now should start hating Saturdays? That seems kind of mean. We're going to the beach on saturday and this ensemble would be perfect.

Dior cruise collection Pre-Summer 2008

I have always loved everything that John Galliano has done. And I have been more reassured with his new resort line for Dior recently shown in NY. All very 1960's, trapeeze jackets, skinny capri pants, big floppy hats, ladylike handbags. Blues, pinks, yellows. And of course, lots of Indian influence, beading, paisely, one shouldered dresses. Perfect, like a Magnolia cupcake.

One day my Prints will come

Mango has cute dresses with interesting prints. They have a shop about 2 minutes from where I'm living, so I went in to check it out. Funny having worked with prints for so long, everything looks awfully, uh, familiar... if you know what I mean. But I suppose, inspiration usually comes from the same places. They have also collaborated with Milla Jovovich and her partner, Carmen Hawk, for a special line of dresses. Nothing really grabbed me, but you can never tell online.
