Terracotta Reds

Pops of white against a deep burnt orange give some relief in this intense heat wave we seem to be having...

Hobo, I love you...

I have posted about Hobo International bags before, and I shall do it again. I love love love these colors they have for spring. I bought my first one when spying my friend, Lisa's- I had to have one. It was the most lovely shade of aqua blue, and every time I look at it, it reminds me of one of the best summers ever...

A Happy Friday to You

We're here (thank god) at Friday again. I'm ready to have some more unpacking and organizing time. I can not find anything in this house as it is (although my important pieces, read shoes, have been unpacked). On top of the guests, the box filled house, and working every day, I have been suffering with an eye problem. I finally took myself to the doctor yesterday and turns out had multiple scratches on my corneas which then turned into ulcers. Sweet! ew. So I'm on some medicine that should hopefully make me all better. This weekend should offer some fun photo taking time, and relaxing time. Have a lovely weekend!!

A Glimpse to my Glass

I'll soon have more photos to show...but for now, our mix matched glass collection. I just thought it looked really pretty.

Deep Pops of Color

I love these new looks from Anthropologie. The colors combinations and layered on print and pattern is perfect.

Unfortunately, most of my time recently has been spent looking at home magazines and websites, and less of those of the fashion variety.

Again, once everything is back to normal, I can go back to being a shoe-fashion-accessories obsessed person. Phew.

Still Under the Boxes

We've had Erik's parents here this past weekend and for the next week. This weekend was spent half working, painting, cleaning, and the other half sitting by the pool. Which was so incredibly lovely. However, I'm still in a bit of a pickle seeing as I can't find my cord that connects my camera to my computer. Hmm. Somewhere among the boxes that have overtaken half of the rooms. There is stuff everywhere and I've come to realize that this particular situation stresses me out. A lot. Ah well. Eventually it will be all put away and erik and I will be able to live here normally. For now, I'll pretend we're camping out. great.

Out From Under the Boxes...

I apologize for my lack of postings... we don't have the internet at our *new* house yet. But a ton of boxes, we do. Last night I had a magical moment opening one of the 4 boxes of shoes I had in storage, and oh boy, was it marvelous. I just could hear Peaches and Herb singing the those meaningful lyrics...ah Reunited...yes....
More photos to come soon, and I'll be back as usual, most likely after the weekend.

A Happy Friday to You

Here it is again, the end of the week. This is how I spent my Thursday night...At the *new* house.
Our Welcome sign...awwww

First dinner at the new house... I haven't had fast food in about 10 years. And I'm good for another 10... Complete with wine. In a plastic cup. Classy.

My job was to pull all of the contact paper from 1979 (yes, it was dated by the previous owner, which made me decide that I too would like to document those types of things), I did my chore with absolute enthusiasm This was the beginning of the night, mind you.

My final Product...

Tomorrow I'm ready for more work...perhaps less painting and more unpacking. I woke up with arms covered in paint. hmm

You Take the Good, You Take the Bad....

Yesterday was a mix of good (we got the keys, yay!) and bad (my car broke down. filled with moving stuff. boo.) We are dropping it off this morning in hopes that the mechanic will find what's wrong and mend it. I had gone to Home Depot yesterday morning to buy paint and realized that, hmm, perhaps these people with houses that get up early on the weekends and go to Home Depot are on to something... it's fun in there. I mean, in that 'lots of gadget that I have no idea on earth what are for' kind of way.

At Last!!

Oh boy, oh boy, are we so jazzed- We found out yesterday that we are now new home owners! What a relief! I am so excited to finally have a home. The movers will be bringing everything that we've had in storage for the past 2 years (and also what we had sent from Israel 4 months ago) to the house on Friday. Apparently we have '4 vaults of household goods and a small sailboat'. This frightens me a bit as to what the flop we actually have in storage.... But I am incredibly thrilled to have my own art studio room; to be able to make and create will be oh so lovely. And of course I can't wait to decorate the house and make it our own. Eeek! squeals have been heard escaping my mouth the past 20-odd hours....

Blues for your Toes

There are so many fun gems to look at at the Zappos site. And quite a few on sale, mind you. My favorites are the top right Marc Jacobs shiny jazz shoes. I'm not sure if it the color, or the fact that they may even be a tad bit ugly? But I love them. Unfortunately with the house situation, I'm on a strict budget. Which is probably a wonderful thing for me seeing as I'll be opening a plethora of boxes that are most likely housing shoes and clothes that I've long forgotten. I suppose I'll have to be giving some away. Size 7 1/2 anyone?

All Sorts of Fun Things

I had a wonderful weekend. On Saturday I took a silkscreening class at the studio of Jordan Ferney from the Oh Happy Day blog. It was really interesting. We learned how to set up our own work station at home. So as soon as we have a place to call that, I'll see what I can do. I really like how the process can be applied to so much, textiles, paper, canvas, etc. Very fun indeed. After that we went to a party at our friend's warehouse which was incredibly fun, although painful the next day... Now I'm just plodding through the week...

A Happy Friday to You

This day has recently been creeping up with no warning. All of a sudden, here it is. No word on the house yet, so I shall cease speaking about it- starting now. I'm incredibly excited for my class this weekend, and for friends and fun in the city.
Have a lovely weekend.

Still Quietly Waiting...

Oops, I was wrong to say that we would hear about the house yesterday, we will, in fact, today. Erik was incredibly stressed out yesterday, and because of that, I wasn't. I find that when one of us is stressed out, the other isn't, perhaps because the job has already been done? Why waste 2 good stress sessions, when one person can do it for you? Hmmm. Anyway, Let's not think about that. Instead, I'm getting excited for a silkscreening class I'm taking this weekend, and a big birthday/moving out party at a giant warehouse in the city. There, see, I'm no longer stressed or thinking about the house...sort of.

Summer Crushes

Dear Anthropologie,
I'm loving the exquisite details on your sandals. The bold colors have a modern clean feeling, while the embellishments add a fun springy twist to your toes.
I fancy them all (even more than that dreamy vampire with the floppy hair from Twilight...). I'd also like this top please.

thank you,
love, your fan 4-ever,
zoe

Here

Every morning this week, our internet has been a bit off, so I've been unable to get over here before rushing to catch my train to San Francisco. As Wednesday is my day off, I'm spending the day cleaning and packing. We must be out of this apartment on Monday. However, we have no where to go after that. Unless, we get the house. We shall find out today (hoping, fingers crossed). I realized that this Saturday will have been 2 years since we arrived to Israel. I still have trouble convincing myself that we really were there. Since being here, our lives have been so transitory. I am aware that I have said this before, but I will be so delighted to finally have a place to live. Our fingers and toes are crossed today...
