Feeling European...

I love the latest catalog from Anthropologie, with the 'real looks' from Paris, New York and London. My favorites are the Parisian ones.

California is lovely, but you definitely don't get that European feeling that you can sometimes get in parts of NY, like Soho, the West Village, etc. If we did go international again in a few years, I'd love to go to Milan, or Paris. I'm also loving this photo from The Sartorialist. Everything about this image is perfect to me; the hat (eee!) the shoes (swoon..) the dress (sigh) and all on a lovely bicycle....Love.

Back!!!

I apologize for the incredibly long lapse in posting. The fun on the East Coast took away my computer skills. I didn't even open my lap top at all... something about the salty air, BBQs, and sailing does that to you. I think that this past holiday may have been one of the best ones I've ever had. I was sad to leave, but at the same time, so happy that I now have perfect memories stored in my memory box of a brain. Photos to come soon. For now, I have only today to get a bunch of errands done before working the rest of the week. So on that note, I leave you with this lovely photo from Anthropologie. I love falls styles, and while we still have at least a month and a half left of summer here, I can still wistfully gaze at corduroys, wool, and earth toned textiles...

Holiday Fun

Erik and I are off to the east coast today for 2 weeks of fun, family, and more fun. I'm ever so excited to see everyone and be back in the place we got married one year ago tomorrow! How quickly that time flew...

Out and About

I may be a bit out of the loop this week. My freelancing job is a bit further away than my last one, so I've been getting home later. By the time I'm home, all I want to do is eat dinner and go to bed. However, there are other things around here that I need to be doing like just maintaining some sort of de-cluttered look. I'm also dealing with car troubles yet again. We're up extra early today to drop it back off to the mechanics. I swear, I reason I bought the darn thing was because I thought, Ok, fine I can deal with a 'mom car' because it will be reliable. Oh snap. Anyway, we're off to Yosemite this weekend, which should be marvelous. I'd better get myself organized before that. More tomorrow!

Friday

Happy Friday, a wonderful day. I'm starting to work on some sort of a portfolio for applying to grad school this winter for enrollment next fall. It's hard, frustrating, and hard. Although it is nice to get back in there and feel like there is a reason for it. We'll see....all a work in progress, all a work in progress....

Going Dotty

I don't know if it's an age thing... or maybe a size thing (wha?), but when I was a little girl, time went sooo slowly (except summers) and now I feel like a year has gone by and all I did was blink. Same with weeks; how on earth did Thursday get here... what was I doing? turning the other way? waiting in a line? It was only just sunday and now we are practically at the weekend again. I swear, never will the speed of time cease to amaze me...
