A day in the Office
I love these shoes from Office. Very 1950s office wear. They would be perfect paired with an old leather suitcase, bright red lipstick and perhaps a long journey on a train...
These are also absolutely lovely....

Singing in The Rain
Instead of blustery snow storms, we have a winter of rain storms. And more often than not, in San Francisco, they can tend to be the sort that is so windy that either your umbrella turns instead out, or the rain somehow manages to almost defeat gravity and come up under the rain shield. Delightful. Because of this, in no way can one ever look chic while battling the elements. Unlike these lovely ladies from vintage Vogue magazines. Sigh....

Keeping up
I've been trying to get back into the swing of working full time, which in turn, has caused me to neglect this space here. However, I will promise to keep up in better form. There are so many fun winter looks coming out now, that it would be an awful shame to let them go unmentioned here.... One must always have the perfect costume while sipping mulled wine by the fire...

Update! or, Reunited and it Feels so Good
Yes... the car is back!!!! I got a strange phone call this morning from a man who said that he thought my car was outside his house and that people were taking stuff out of it (my cell number was in the glove box on maintenance records) we quickly drove over there while calling the police and there was my lemon! Apparently because this guy lives near the highway, he said a lot of times people abandon (most likely stolen) cars in front of his house. He had seen some guy pull up and take my spare tire out of the trunk and drive off. So the man took down the license number, and went through my glove box to see if he could find any information about who's car it was. Long story short, we have the car back with only a missing stereo, ipod, and spare tire. They may have switched out my battery too. But Hurray!!! My car is safely home!!!!!

Gone
I've had a bit of a transportation troubled week. My car was stolen on Wednesday from the parking lot at the train station in San Jose. I'm so so so upset, and I think still a bit unbelieving. Why my car? So I am now without a car. Luckily a co-worker of Erik's has offered to lend us their car for a week. But then I'm not sure what to do. The police didn't seem to think we'd have much luck in finding in, or at least finding it in one piece. Piddles indeed. And then, as if some icing on the cake, as I was about to take the train home from work in San Francisco, they had stopped all trains indefinitely because of a fatality. I was stranded in the city, but luckily had some friends nearby with wine and food waiting for me. I'm glad it's the weekend. Very glad.

Wednesday, Hello
Perhaps I should have been more grateful for all of those years that I never caught a cold or flu, because it's all crashing down on my Fall of 2009. I'm back again with a cold. But this time, I will take even better care of myself. Perhaps no coffee today and mandatory glasses of water every 15 minutes? At least that will get me up out of my desk for some exercise. I love this hair piece by Ban.do. It would have gone perfectly with my wedding dress. But! It will go perfectly with almost anything else that I own.., and may help get rid of this cold...

Some Glitz and Glamour to sweep us into November
I love love love small handbags, my closet is spilling over with them. Ironically, however, my daily bag could hold an elephant and his immediate family. This could be why I can never find anything in it, and why my back often hurts. One would think it should be giving me arms of steel but alas, no. This is why I'm crushing on these lovely gems of a clutch from Accessorize. Fit exactly what you need, look dainty while doing it, and you won't even have to break a sweat. Lovely.
