We bought this book for our nephews while we were home. It was written and illustrated by Miroslav Sasek, a Czech artist from the 1960s who did a whole series of the "This is" books. Before sending it off to the boys, who are home schooled and love reading and learning as much as their brains can hold, I was almost tempted to keep it for myself! oops! ! I loved the illustrations and little tidbits of information.
However,...according to what the future may hold, perhaps I should be reading this one instead....hmmmm.....
