We are BUBBLING Over with Excitement!!

Today was a day full of adventures. I took the train to Tel Aviv to a well known Fashion College where I had an appointment with the curator of the fashion and textile archive. I managed to take the train and find the school without too much trouble. Ok, fine, yes, I walked the wrong way and ended up taking 45 minutes instead of the actual 10 minutes walk. Not to worry, in typical zoe fashion, I was an hour early. I eventually got to the archive and met with the curator who was SO nice. She spent about an hour and a half showing me around...Old Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Zandra Rhodes, old Yemenite embroideries, Palestinian pieces, beautiful beaded flapper dresses from the 1920s, intricate Belgian lace, even an old piece of lace-like fabric from 1000 AD. It was a perfect experience...but here's the kicker... I'm going to be volunteering there!!!! I'll be helping organize the pieces, and pulling specific pieces for the students that will be coming in. My toes are twiddling with joy!!!
Piece above not from the archive, but from here.
